I love these gifs of vintage pinups and the women that inspired them. It is interesting to note the differences between the women’s bodies and the ways that they’re portrayed as pinups because it illustrates the ways in which media exaggerate and idealize. This is why it is important to critically understand the images we see everyday as social and cultural products, performances, constructions.
